It has recently come to our attention that many of our seniors received a postcard in the mail asking them to make a photography appointment with Cilento Photography. This postcard includes the school logo and address in the upper left-hand portion of the piece giving the impression that it is an official school communication. This is, in fact, NOT the case.
Hilliard Darby High School DID NOT mail these pieces and we DID NOT provide any student information to Cilento Photography. We have already contacted this company about their misrepresentation on this piece and to express our frustration about this entire situation.
While we do contract with HR Imaging (who has no affiliation with Cilento) for school photographs, seniors may have their photos taken by any photographer they wish for inclusion in the yearbook. Once the photograph is taken, they simply need to submit the image to Ms. Kristi Stewart by December 20, 2013 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will continue to address our concerns with Cilento Photography but wanted you to understand the facts associated with this situation. The postcards were sent by and only represent the interests of Cilento Photography and not that of Hilliard Darby High School. Should you have any further questions please feel free to contact the school office at 614-921-7300.
Also, Senior pictures are due to the yearbook by December 20, 2013. Seniors are welcome to choose any studio or resource for their photos. Please check out the details and FAQ’s on Ms. Stewart’s webpage: http://www.hilliardschools.org/classroom.cfm?id=484&TempID=1139&school=Hilliard%20Darby%20High%20School&preview=1
