On Thursday April 26 the District will be having a two-hour late start so all of the professional staff may engage in learning activities. This means transportation for the students wilt run on a two-hour delayed schedule. The building will not open until 9:00 a.m.. The fist class will begin at 9:45. This is a unique time for us to have all of our staff together learning the same material and we appreciate your understanding.

Congratulations to the Hilliard Darby Symphony Orchestra, which performed Saturday March 3 at the OMEA State Orchestra Adjudicated Event held at Reynoldsburg. The ensemble performed the opening movement of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, the “Kyrie” from Mozart’s Requiem, and Escape the Lost City, a new piece by Alan Silva. The group performed for 3 adjudicators on stage, then sight-read a fourth piece for an additional judge. Based on their performance, the orchestra earned a Superior (I) rating in Class A, the highest classification based upon the difficulty level of the program. This marks the 14th straight year the orchestras at Darby have earned a superior rating in this event, and the 8th consecutive year the Symphony has competed and earned a I in Class A. Well done, Darby Symphony members!!
