Symphonic Choir Chosen to Perform

Hilliard Darby Symphonic Choir has been selected to perform for the American Choral Directors Association Convention next week in Ft. Wayne Indiana near the Indiana-Purdue campus.  Our choir was chosen to perform from hundreds of entries across the United States.  We will be performing for music educators from across our county and will present a half hour program featuring an extended work (a memorized 40 page Renaissance motet with brass and organ.)   The students have worked very hard and have captured the attention of OSU professors on the caliber of our program.  The choir will be accompanied by our own John Montgomery and Joe Burke, along with former members of the choir playing brass.

OGT Testing Schedule

The Ohio Graduation Test will be given to all tenth graders, and those students in the upper grades still needing to pass a portion of the test, on March 12- March 16th.  Only those students taking the test will need to be here for the first two hours.  Classes for all students will begin at 9:55 each day.  The schedule of testing is: Monday- Reading, Tuesday- Mathematics, Wednesday- Writing, Thursday -Science, Friday- Social Studies.  If a student misses a particular portion of the test there will be make-up times set aside the next week of school.  It is important to note this will entail the missing of more class time.

Transportation will run on the regularly scheduled times.  If your child is not testing and comes to school they must attend a study hall until 9:50.  No one may be allowed into the academic area while testing is going on with the students.  This is a State of Ohio requirement placed upon the school.  We may not interrupt the students while they are testing per state regulations.  We hope you will understand the requirements placed upon us during these tests.

The daily bell schedule may be found under the News & Info tab on this page of the website.

Late Start March 7

On Wednesday March 7th Hilliard Darby will be participating in the two hour late start for professional development.  The two hour late start schedule may be found under the News & Info tab on this page.  Transportation will run on a two hour delayed schedule this day also.  Teachers and staff will not be available during this time period as they have classes to attend.  Students will not be allowed into the building until 9:00 a.m. as the entire staff is engaged in the professional development.  Thank you in advance for your understanding
